Newly enrolled students can pick up their student ID cards from their department’s student affairs office. It may take up to one month for the cards to arrive at the department after registration. In case of loss, damage, or other issues, you can obtain a new card from the E-Yıldız office.
At our university, attendance is mandatory for at least 70% of theoretical courses and at least 80% of all practical work outside of theoretical courses. Due to the pandemic, this requirement has been relaxed to 50% for the 2021–2022 Fall semester by a decision of our University Senate. (Excluding the preparatory class)
1) In the event of illness, provided it is documented by a medical certificate covering at least 3 days; 2) In the event that a student’s parent, spouse, sibling, or other close relative passes away or suffers an illness or accident on a date that would prevent the student from taking the exam; 3)If the student is involved in an accident, or is unable to arrive in time for the exam due to an accident even if not directly involved; 4-) In the event the student is affected by a natural disaster; 5-)If the student is arrested or taken into custody; 6) If the student has been assigned to participate in a national or international competition, sporting event, or similar activity;
Within 3 (three) days after the excuse period ends, you must apply to the Department Chair and submit the required documents.
Students must first take the exam(s) for the course(s) in their major. To take the exam(s) for the course(s) in their double major program, they must submit a “Request for a Make-up Exam.”
The student submits the “FR-0531 Course Add/Drop with Valid Reason” form to our department. The student’s reason is reviewed by the committee. If approved, the Faculty of Civil Engineering will add the course.
Students may submit a request for an off-semester course by applying to our department using the “General Student Request Form.” For the requested course to be offered, there must be at least 15 requests for that course.
You must apply to the Faculty of Civil Engineering Secretariat for a student ID and transcript.
There is no separate document indicating disciplinary status, but the student transcript, which can be obtained from the Faculty of Engineering, also includes information on disciplinary status.
There are two internships you must complete in our department: a 30-day office internship and a 30-day field internship. You can find the requirements and other information HERE.
In order for a student to enroll in the Capstone Course, they must have successfully completed a number of courses equivalent to at least 75% of the total credits in the curriculum and have a GPA of at least 2.00. In addition, only students who are eligible to graduate at the end of the fall semester are permitted to enroll in the Capstone Project course offered during the fall semester.
